Platinum jewellery designer set to open store with pieces and creativity on show

A platinum jewellery designer has announced plans to open his first store later this year, giving customers the opportunity to look at designs in cabinets while also watching pieces being made.

Mark Patterson said that his flagship shop, to open in Corona Del Mar, California in November, is not going to be a “typical retail store” because of its unique layout.

According to coronadelmartoday.com, the store will display platinum bridal collections and custom pieces in 600 square feet of showroom space.

A glass wall will be placed in the middle of the store, where another 600 square feet will house 11 men and women who will create the designs Mr Patterson and his wife have designed.

The unique layout and positioning makes it ideal for the couple.

“For us, it had all the right combinations of what we were looking for,” Mr Patterson told the website.

“We wanted no mall or strip mall. We wanted freedom, so we bought the building. We wanted our own space, in a neighborhood. Right behind our store is a beautiful residential area. We see people walking by and hope they will stop in.”
