Project Runway’s Royal Challenge by Alison A. Nieder

How awesome would this be for a “Project Runway” challenge? Design the future queen of England’s wedding dress. Guest host: Vivienne Westwood.
Sadly, with the royal wedding only weeks away and the 9th season of “Project Runway” only in the casting stage, it is not meant to be.
But that didn’t stop Lifetime from asking several former “Runway” designers to give suggestions for Queen-to-be Kate Middleton.
Tom & Lorenzo has some of the sketches, the full lineup is at Lifetime.com—including several of the many, many talented—and memorable—designers from California.
Mondo Guerra’s is a hoot. Pictured above the sketch by designer, fashion host, man about town –and Trade Talk contributing blogger—Nick Verreos.
It’s all to promote Lifetime’s upcoming royal biopic “William & Kate: Let Love Rule”
Being fodder for a Lifetime movie really has become one of our highest cultural achievements. And thanks, Lifetime, for the ‘80s pop-song reference. I’m going to have that in my head all day.
The sketches are great fun, but I can’t help but wonder, where’s Andrae?
And, for that matter, Santino Rice, Raymundo Baltazar, Jeffrey Sebelia, Kirsten Ehrig, John Wade, Guadalupe Vidal, Stacey Estrella, Bonnie Dominguez, Bradley Baumkirchner, Robert Best, Simone LeBlanc, Kit Scarbo, Ricky Lizalde, Emily Brandle, Jerell Scott, Johnny Sakalis, Amy Sarabi and Jay Nicolas Sario?
